My name is Annika Lillan Lange. I am a warm-hearted thing that sometimes believes to be a human. I fully understand people having the feeling of being born in the wrong epoch. If I could choose a random carrier, I´d become a mix of witch and pirate.

I adore Art, but also lots of other things. I keep a small horde of stickbugs (phasmidae) and also a giant millipede named Gimli. I am addicted to chocolate and excessive wool hoarding, I love Star Wars, handcrafts, unconventional cultural phenomena (like reenactement and nerdism) celtic/viking culture and stuff I find in nature, like snail shells, leafes, bones, wings and claws. The appartment I share with my beloved Tim looks like a very small, green museum. By the way, I like jokes, my terrarium, thrashy movies, my XBox, hiking, fantasy and mythology, medieval festivals (giving me the great feeling of living in a time long ago...) and creativity in every way.
I love viking reenactment, and because of me being a poor student, I need to make most of the equipment myself. I taught myself tablet weaving, viking wire knit, naalebinding, bonecarving and sewing.

Being a neopagan, I try to spend much time out in nature worshipping every tiny leaf. I also try help protecting its beauty, that´s one of the reasons why I study Biuology.

I can´t really identify my favourite way to express art. I draw and paint landscapes, portraits, cartoons, scifi, fantasy, surreal, anthro, metamorphs, nude art and much more, although my favorite style should be folkloristic fantasy. I like to work with all traditional mediums. Besides, I sew medieval/viking clothing for me, I do seedbead-weaving, viking wire knit and cardboard-weaving.

My favourite animal is the peregrine falcon, my faved color smoke green.
My favourite grammar-style is Yoda´s. I´m sorry.
I am 6´2´´ tall (186 cm.) I swear it´s true!

Being Pagan is no religion, its about loving nature, living with nature and to worship its beauty.
Sweetens the way to university. Bliss.

I am in serious love with your work… It's amazing!!!!!!
May I ask what materials do you use (particularly for the fairytale creatures)?
You are an inspiration, and thanks for sharing…!

Hey there,
Thank you so much for stopping by. I am very glad that you like my paintings, you make me blush <3. I mainly use watercolor for the background and all the bases, many shadings and less translucent details are made with gouache. (Gouache is sort of a thick pasty watercolor, I really love that you can either treat it like acrylic paint or normal watercolor.) Most fine details are made with pencils, sometimes also bigger shaded areas. I hope I answered your question, feel free to ask further if you wish!
